Classroom Expectations
1. Respect classmates This is generally self explanatory. But it also includes your level of effort. You should expect me to be prepared every day as I will expect the same from you. The quality of discussion is often limited by the work you put into this class.
2. You are tardy unless you are in your seat and quiet when the bell rings.
3. Please hand work in on time. Late work is penalized. Late work loses credit each day it is late. After Friday or the last school day of the week, no credit will be given. Write the word "Late" on your paper and put it in the gray hopper. If you were sick or have another form of excused absence, have me initial it as "OK" and not late before you turn it in.
“ONE-A-WEEK”: students are allowed a “one-a-week” which is a free pass to use the restroom or locker.
Students must always ask first and cannot use it to be late to class.
Students must sign out at my desk.
4. Discussion is a part of class. You are expected to participate. From time to time I will keep a record of participation. Positive participation will be considered at evaluation and end of quarters.
Grading: Tests are worth 60% of your grade; quizzes and daily work = 40%
